2016 National Youth Gathering

Brew In the Lou



















LESA's 4th Annual “Brew in the Lou” Festival has a new home! This year's event will take place Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, from 1-5 p.m., on the gorgeous grounds of Francis Park in the city's St. Louis Hills neighborhood, 5399 Donovan Ave. (near Word of Life Lutheran School at 6535 Eichelberger.)

‘Witness, Mercy, Life Together’ To Continue In the LCMS

Committee 4 on Life Together brought six resolutions before the convention on Thursday morning, and all of them were adopted, including four with more than 90 percent of the delegate vote, during the final day of the 66th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

“As believers, we are already united in Christ,” said the Rev. Dan P. Gilbert, committee chairman and president of the LCMS Northern Illinois District. “We want to bring resolutions that lead us to reflect that unity so that His body can do the work He has prepared for us to do.” Read more . . .

The Missouri District will be offering five conferences this fall to support our congregations and lay leaders. The purpose of the conference will be to encourage, equip and connect volunteers in our congregations through practical presentations, partnerships and networking. 

Five dates & locations across the district! A wide variety of breakout sessions! Join us for a wide variety of interesting topics to assist your congregation and its leaders.

All location times are 8:00 a.m. – Noon and registration is only $10 per person.

Grace Place Wellness Church Worker Retreat
October 17-21, Big Cedar Lodge, Ridgedale MO

The Missouri District is partnering with Grace Place Wellness to host a retreat for active church workers. It will be held at Big Cedar Lodge on Oct. 17 – 21, 2016. The 5-day, 4-night retreat will be held at Big Cedar Lodge, a grand wilderness resort, reminiscent of lavish, turn-of-the-century Adirondack hunting lodges, but with all the modern conveniences. The only cost for the participants is a $250 registration fee and transportation to and from the retreat facility. Meals and lodging included. There are seven spots open so first come, first serve. 2016 Missouri District Pastors’ Conference
District Pastors will meet at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach on October 31 - November 1 for the Missouri District Pastors’ conference “God’s Gift of Marriage in Troubled Times.” CLICK HERE for more information and to register.


St. Mark’s Lutheran School in Eureka, Mo has 15 desks that are free for anyone who can come and pick them up!

Dimensions are 29 inches from the floor to desk top. Actual surface is 17 ½ by 23 ½. They are all in good shape – just not needed anymore. Please call 636-938-4432 or email shaas@STMARKSEUREKA.ORG if you would like them. Need to get rid of them ASAP.
